Meet The Master Holy Lucky

Holy Lucky is a sub-brand of Q Design and Play.

We take things familiar in the daily lives of Thai people and incorporate them into our work. I like to use simple words—easy to remember, easy to understand. “Holy” means sacred, and “Lucky” means fortunate.

Our design inspiration often revolves around using "100% colors"—like pure red, pure green, and either black or white. But we mix in different coloring techniques, shapes, and beliefs. We combine them with visual gimmicks and graphic reductions. The result is a design language that tends toward round geometric shapes.

This is something that branches out from what we’ve always done—fashion. We wanted to try creating toys. But these toys are designed to be expanded upon and are rooted in familiar memories from childhood. That’s why we chose to work with sacred elements and turn them into something playful, fun, and easy to relate to.

The characters are cartoonish—the proportions aren’t exactly precise—but they’ve been stylized to feel more like cartoons. I’ve always loved toys, collecting things, and drawing cartoons. I come from an art background. When I got the chance, I learned how to make art toys, and I realized I could build on that passion. It’s something I’ve always loved. And with more and more young creators entering the scene, I think this space can go far.

Take the Nang Kwak figure, for example. We collaborated with Moose, and reimagined it as a deer character that still carries the essence of the original. When we go out to eat, visit shops, or even at workplaces, you often see Nang Kwak statues, believed to attract wealth and good fortune.

We’ve taken that idea and reinterpreted the pose or vibe—it creates something new.

This Moose x Nang Kwak deer figure (Moose Kwak) is sure to bring good luck and boost Moose’s sales for sure.
